October Leaves
The changing October leaves
Shifting, turning, blazing
Like fire against the autumn sky
Bold, brilliant, burning
The most spectacular turning
Swirling dance
Like they have something to prove
I wonder if they know
That their most glorious days
Are passing into the
Blustering breeze
Do they fear the letting go
Into their final falling?
