Dharma Resources

Some of my favorite sites for all things Dharma - the list will grow as I do!!

Something to keep in mind is that most of the content on these sites is freely offered, however, there are definite costs associated with building and maintaining the sites and keeping the content current.  All of these sites welcome Dana (donations) to support the site and/or the programs that are included there.  If you find something that really helps you on your path, please consider its value and reflect on what your generosity can mean both for your own practice and for others who will benefit from these offerings in the future.

Tara Brach - www.tarabrach.com

Guided Meditation and Weekly Dharma Talks (Audio and Video), along with blogs, reading recommendations, and meditation instructions for beginning meditators. All content on the site is offered freely and donations to support the site are welcomed and accepted through a link there. Tara Brach, PhD is a leading western teacher of Buddhist meditation, emotional healing and spiritual awakening. She has practiced and taught meditation for over 35 years, with an emphasis on vipassana (mindfulness or insight) meditation. Tara is the senior teacher and founder of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington. A clinical psychologist, Tara is the author of Radical Acceptance and True Refuge. Both of these books have changed my heart in the most profound ways, and this site is a primary practice support for me...

You can also find Tara on iTunes, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Worldwide Insight - www.worldwideinsight.org

Worldwide Insight offers weekly live Dharma teachings with a variety of insight meditation teachers.  The talks are recorded on video and archived so that you can go back and watch at any time or catch up if you missed the live streaming.  If you are watching live, there is a Q/A period at the end of each talk where you have the opportunity to ask the teacher questions via a chat feature.  The classes are offered freely, and the site is donation supported.  I really like this and it has become a really nice weekly practice for me...
